ABOUT US
We were established in April 2000 when I acquired a Timbrell & Wright Cane Miller. The miller dates back to the early 1900’s of which very few still exist.
Working as a Toolmaker for many years to close tolerances and Fly Fishing being my passion, I was always fascinated about the manufacture of split cane. In the past I have produced from home made formers and block plane but this was always a slow process and I could only supply enough cane for friends and myself. So when the milling machine became available it was a natural progression thus allowing me to produce cane more readily. So Brough Hand Made Rods was born

I strongly believe that bamboo fishing rods, whether coarse or fly, are very beautiful and functional objects. The design and materials used must be the very best available. This criteria is always my aim along with producing rods my customers are not only happy with but will cherish.
