FLY RODS
We can make Fly Rods to your requirements, ranging from 6ft to 9ft, 2 or 3 sections and we also provide the option of hollow building.
The cane is lightly hand flamed before being heat treated to create a well tempered rod. After hand splitting and straightening the strips are milled to precise tapers. With the six sections glued and straightened the Nickel Silver, Super Swiss, ferrules are fitted.
We make our own reel seats from various hard woods, to the AFFTA reel foot standard (20/09/04), and apply our name to the butt caps. Handles of ‘flor grade’ cork can be finished to your preferred shape . The Titanium Carbide finish snake rings are matched with a traditional cradle stripping ring finished in ebony. The silk colour for the tyings are as stated.
Each rod is hand inscribed using Indian ink, finished in a high quality gloss varnish and comes with a tailored cotton drill rod bag and turned Nickel Silver stoppers.
